SMASH: Run by dairy farmers for dairy farmers

SMASH has been set up to help dairy farmers, particularly those with smaller operations, to run successful businesses. We mainly achieve this by running events throughout New Zealand. These give farmers the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills which will stand them in good stead back on their own farms.

We also want to foster a supportive farming community – we are all in it together! And we want to let everyone know that smaller herd dairy farmers are an essential part of the dairy industry – what we do is immensely valuable!

SMASH is run by a group of New Zealand dairy farmers with a passion for the industry and for helping to build a strong and sustainable future for dairy farming.

SMASH events are a bit different

Everyone who comes to SMASH events comments on how different they are from other industry events. The topics are wide ranging and our events have a friendly, “family” feel. There are plenty of opportunities to talk to and learn from each other. We also use speakers from a wide range of sources, some from our industry, some from elsewhere, but all with useful information to share.

Who can come to a SMASH event?

SMASH primarily aims to run events for “smaller herd farmers”, but anyone from the farming community is welcome to come to our events.
